Custom anatomical mural for osteopathic clinic decor

A 3-meter white wall in the office of Clément Thiriot, an osteopath in Gagny. In a few days, this wall will be more than just a simple decoration surface. It will tell the story of the evolution and understanding of anatomy through four figures and four systems of the human body. A completely original mural created by hand, a bespoke creation thought out specifically for his space, his needs, and his vision.

Clément's request: no existing template

When Clément contacted me, he already knew what he didn't want: a standard template that you find everywhere. Not a generic poster of a human skeleton.

He had a precise vision:

  • A mural that spans the entire width of the wall
  • But not the entire height (an important constraint)
  • A connection to human evolution
  • Several human body systems represented

This request went off the beaten path. It was impossible to bring out an existing composition or a standard anatomical chart template. I had to create something totally new, designed specifically for his space and his concept. A bespoke solution that meets his needs exactly.

The concept: 4 figures, 4 systems, one story

Clément's idea was strong: to tell the story of the evolution of our understanding of the human body through four anatomical representations. A concept that is both educational and artistic.

Figure 1: Digestive and pulmonary system

The first figure represents the internal organs: lungs and complete digestive tract.

This is the foundation of anatomical understanding: knowing what is "inside." Deep structures, essential for life, that we never see but which are constantly functioning.

anatomie système digestif et cardio-pulmonaire

Figure 2: Nervous system anatomy

The second figure highlights the nervous system: brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerve networks. An anatomical chart of the nervous system painted directly on the wall.

For an osteopath like Clément, this is a central system for understanding pathologies and treatments. This anatomical illustration becomes a daily educational tool for explaining osteopathic treatment to his patients.

Figure 3: Skeletal system (the human skeleton)

The third figure is the complete skeleton. A true human skeleton painted by hand with maximum anatomical precision.

Anatomie du squelette humain

Figure 4: Muscular system

The fourth figure represents the musculature in an écorché style: superficial muscles, insertions, and origins. A detailed muscular line art.

This is movement made visible. Everything that allows the body to move, stand, and function. For an osteopath, this is the system with which he works daily in his clinical practice.

The final result: a mural that tells a story

When you step back a few meters to see the mural as a whole, the effect is undeniable. The final result exceeds expectations.

fresque anatomique évolution humaine

The four figures follow one another in a harmonious composition. Each is distinct, but they form a coherent whole. One feels the progression, the evolution of anatomical understanding: from organs to skeleton, from nerves to muscles.

What makes this mural unique:

It is completely bespoke and personalized

No other office in the world has this mural. It was thought out specifically for Clément's space. It is an original creation from A to Z, a unique piece of medical art.

It tells a clear story

It's not just "anatomy" on a wall. It is a visual narrative of the evolution of our understanding of the human body. Each figure adds an extra layer of complexity, facilitating pedagogy and instruction.

It transforms the office's identity

It is no longer just "an osteopathy office in Gagny." It is "the office with the anatomical mural in Gagny." The visual identity is immediately recognizable and memorable. Decoration that makes all the difference.

What a bespoke mural changes for an office

I'm not going to lie: a 3-meter fully bespoke mural is not the same budget as a small anatomical chart or a poster.

But it does not have the same impact, the same quality, or the same experience, either.

For patients:

It's impossible to miss a mural of this size. As soon as they enter the office, they are face-to-face with this work of art. It creates a strong first impression, inspires confidence in the practitioner's expertise, and makes the space memorable.

Some patients take pictures. Others ask questions. The mural becomes a natural communication aid. It facilitates the explanation of pathologies and osteopathic treatment.

For the professional practitioner:

It is a permanent educational tool. Clément can visually explain to his patients where their pain is located, which system is involved, and how the treatment works.

It is also an affirmation of expertise. An osteopath who has such a detailed and precise anatomical mural in their office is a professional who knows their anatomy. It immediately instills confidence in patients and provides reassurance regarding the quality of care.

For the medical office's identity:

It is total differentiation. In a sector where many offices look the same, having a bespoke mural creates a unique and strong identity.

It is also a durable investment: unlike trendy modern decoration that ages quickly, an anatomical mural remains relevant and impressive in 10, 20, or 30 years. A well-considered purchase that adds value to the space in the long term.

Bespoke vs. standard mural: what is the difference?

Since I published photos of this mural on my site and social media, many people ask me: what is the difference between a bespoke mural and a "standard" one? Why not just buy a poster or a print?

A standard mural is:

  • An existing model in my collection (The Thinker, The Sprinter, The Atlas, etc.)
  • Photo montages for validation before creation
  • Dimensions adaptable to your space
  • An already created composition that I reproduce
  • A faster process
  • A base rate starting from €1500 for 2m high or wide
  • Ideal option for a controlled budget

A bespoke personalized mural is:

  • An original creation from A to Z
  • A concept designed specifically for you and your needs
  • Photo montages for validation before creation
  • A unique composition that doesn't exist anywhere else
  • A longer process (design + creation)
  • A rate adapted to the complexity (as here: €4500 for 3m × 1.3m with 4 anatomical systems)
  • A personalized schedule based on your constraints
  • A totally unique work of art

Both have their merits. Everything depends on your project, your vision, and your budget. But if you have a precise idea, if you want something absolutely unique, if you are looking for a mural that tells your specific story: bespoke is the only option.
